WSJ: Trump’s New 10% Tariff Will Affect Apple

The US-China trade war has again become a hot topic after Trump announced that starting from September 1st US will impose a 10% of “small tariff” on the remaining 300 billion dollar of goods that are imported from China to US.

A large number of consumer goods will be affected by this decision which also include iPhones, iPads, MacBooks and other products Apple sells in the United States.

Till now the previous 25% tax affected small consumer good likes cables and chargers etc but all the popular consumer items will be impacted by this new 10% tariff.

Trump believes that by imposing such taxes US companies will be forced to bring their productions to the United States. He may get what he is plans of but this decision will affect US companies in a worse way possible.
