Andrew Carnegie funded the construction of this building and the last time it served as a proper public library was in 1972. Located at the center of Mount Vernon Square and surrounded by fresh landscapes, this is Apple’s most ambitious and most historic restorations till now.
Apple hosted a special preview in Washington D.C before formal opening on May 11th. Here are the photos from the recent preview. The library is first of it’s kind project for Apple as most of the Apple Stores have been international projects for the company. Restoring a century old site is just another story for the tech giant.
